15/02/2010 Pink Yeti Goes 386
Upgrade Fever strikes Pink Yeti for the second consecutive day. Following close
on the heals of the racing bar and stem upgrade, the long anticipated chainset
upgrade is finally happening. Now well established in the racing fraternity, a
double ring race chainset is a must. Long time favourite in the Pink Yeti stable
FSA have come up trumps with a two ring MTB race chainset; the K-Force Light
386. This shares the same MegaExo ceramic bottom bracket as used on the Ridley
X-Ride SL-K Light and Pinnacle Aeos Carbon TT Neo Pro TT chainsets. Full details can be
found here.
14/02/2010 Race Upgrade for Pink Yeti
Following the Gorrick Spring series Round 2, Pink Yeti needs a race upgrade.
Long deemed unsuitable, the trail friendly Yeti riser bar is to be replaced with
a flat oversize Easton EC90 bar and Easton EC90 bar ends. With a switch from
standard to oversize, the stem also requires replacing. A matching Easton EA90
is chosen to replace the Thomson. Full details can be found
here.

05/02/2010 Training Wheels for Ridley X-Ride
Lovely as they are, the 4ZA carbon tubular wheelset is unsuitable for everyday
training rides. A spare set of Campagnolo Vento had been used as a stop-gap. Now
a Miche/Mach1 wheelset has been obtained from AD Cycles. This wheelset really does go well with
the black/red/white colours of the X-Ride. Further details may be found
here.
17/01/2010 Reliability Trial
Exposes Tiso Weakness
The Land Rover Support Crew were called out to Petworth to rescue the S-Works
Tarmac. Whilst out on a Horsham Cycling Reliability Trial, Patrick was stranded
north of Petworth on the A283 at Northchapel with a failed rear mech. The Land
Rover was guided in by Blackberry and Google Maps. Later inspection of the rear
derailleur revealed a broken spring. The Tiso Sereo has been taken to GB Cycles for
repair.
